Achieve Your Career Goals in Five simple steps

No matter what goal or dream you're chasing in life, there are proven methods you can follow to make your dreams become a reality. Successful people in all walks of life have certain things in common they share. The steps are simple; the challenge is putting them into practice.

HERE ARE THE CRITICAL STEPS ON THE LADDER TO SUCCESS

1. Write your goals on a piece of paper
Planning is the most important step of all in achieving goals, and it's critical to write your goals down on paper, or somewhere they can be physically seen each day. Your goals also have to match your innermost value system. It the goal doesn't "stick" to your values, you won't have it for very long.

2. Develop a Positive Attitude
Thinking positive will be your true key to success. Positive thinking will surmount roadblocks of every kind placed in your path. If you don't have roadblocks in life, you're probably on a path that leads nowhere.

3. Never Give Up
This means being able to renew your commitment on demand! Staying focused and motivated will help you to realize your dreams quicker than anything else. You can only fail when you've given up. A great practice is to constantly visualize your goals and dreams before going to bed each night.

4. Stay Laser-focused
It's difficult, but if you develop singular vision, your drive and energy will win the day. Work on you plan daily, and real as much material as you an on the principles of motivation. The bookstore and the internet have tons relevant information on motivational subjects. Jonathan Winter, a great comedian once said, "I couldn't wait for success, so I went ahead without it."

5. Take Small Steps
You know the old saying that a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step! Well, its' true. However, the key is to focus on successfully initiating and completing small steps. It's easy to set large goals and fail. Starting out smaller allows each of to experience a "win" on each rung of the ladder.

Remember.. That there are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from failure..Colin Powell
